CMS has significant experience in assisting co-operatives and social enterprises to raise finance. This includes grants, loans and equity. We can assist with business planning, financial forecasts (Profit and Loss accounts, cash flows and balance sheets), preparation and review of share offer documents. CMS has established relationships with Co-operative and Community Finance, The Key Fund, The Co-operative Bank and several other financial institutions (i.e. Triodos, The Social Investment Business).

CMS pioneered the use of small community share issues (up to £300,000) for the purchasing of community assets over 10 years ago. Since that time we have concluded 20 such issues and are recognised as experts in this field.
